Our Process
If you have any questions throughout the process, please call any of our loan officers at any of our locations, or email CustomerService@FNBofWamego.com
- Download and complete the Pre-Approval Application
- Bring the completed application and all other required documents to our main bank in Wamego, or one of our branches in Manhattan or Alma.
- We'll contact you within 2 business days with the amount we have pre-approved. (The maximum amount we plan to lend you based on your application and the value of the home you find)
- Search for the home you want to buy (www.realtor.com)
- After you agree on a price with the seller, and sign a contract with the seller, bring a copy of the contract to your First National Bank of Wamego Loan officer to complete the loan process and receive your cash.
What you will need
- Signed and completed Pre-approval application and authorizations
- Copy of applicant's driver's license
- Copy of pay stubs covering the last 30 days for the borrower and co-borrower
- Copy of W-2s for the 3 most recent years for borrower and co-borrower if not self employed
- Copy of tax returns for 3 most recent years if self-employed or first time home buyer
- Copy of last two months bank statements for all accounts listed on application.
Home Loan Programs
We offer a wide variety of home loan options to fit different needs and budgets. Our loan programs range from the more conventional multi-year, fixed rate loan to VA and FHA Loans.
We can also help you decide if a Reverse Mortgage is right for you. A "reverse" mortgage is a loan against your home that you do not have to pay back for as long as you live there. To be eligible for most reverse mortgages, you must own your home and be 62 years of age or older.
